Non-Mobile Friendly Sites are Disappearing from Google’s Mobile Search Results

The search engine giant Google rolled out its first ever mobile-friendly algorithm “Mobilegeddon” on April 21, 2015 to make the mobile search result user-friendly and easy. The effect of Google’s mobile-friendly algorithm is now visible. The websites having non- mobile friendly design are disappearing from Google’s mobile search results. On the other hand, those having mobile-friendly design are getting top position in Google mobile SERPs.

SEO Services Company India
Search Rank India, which is a leading SEO Services Company India, predicted this a while ago. The expert digital marketing professionals of the company conveyed this message to the business organizations having non-mobile friendly websites through their blog and told them to have mobile-friendly design before it’s too late. Those who listened to the company are now enjoying top position in Google’s mobile SERPs.

However, those who ignored the company’s suggestion are facing loss in terms of ranking as well as reach over the internet media. A recent study of this Affordable SEO Services Company shows clear visibility and ranking consequences. The company tracked more than 1000 important e-commerce keywords in a range of industries in order to see whether and how they have impacted mobile search ranking of Google.

And, the result was surprising. The company found that 83% of the time, the top mobile search results were mobile-friendly. In addition, on the first page of the Google’s mobile SERPs, 70% (7 out of 10) of the results were mobile friendly. These findings raise a good and valid question i.e. when and why Google is serving non mobile-friendly results in those remaining 20+ % of cases?

Search Rank India found that mobile-friendliness varied by vertical. Some industries were more mobile-friendly than others. Amongst the seven categories examined, retail had the most mobile-friendly results and the transportation had the lowest percentage of mobile-friendly results. It means, Google gives priority to the mobile-friendly sites for the industries in which mobile-friendly sites are available in high numbers.

On the other hand, it shows both the mobile-friendly and non-mobile friendly sites in the top position for the industries in which mobile-friendly sites are in average or lower numbers. This study is an eye opener and gives a clear message that Google works as per the results available in the specific industry.

So, get a mobile-friendly site today as you don’t know when the number of mobile friendly site in your business category gets rise.
